KRONOS RECEIVES NOTICE OF ALLOWANCE FOR SIXTH U.S. PATENT

Belmont, MA - December 8, 2004: Kronos Advanced Technologies, Inc., announced today that Kronos Air Technologies, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Kronos Advanced Technologies, has received a Notice of Allowance from the United States Patent and Trademark Office indicating that its patent application entitled Spark Management Method and Device has been examined and allowed for issuance as a U.S. patent.

Kronos' latest U.S. patent includes innovative solutions for spark management, including analysis, detection and prevention of sparks in high voltage product applications. Spark management is one of the core issues in creating safe, effective electrostatic technology products. Kronos' patent has extended applications for other high voltage technologies and applications beyond just Kronos' air movement, filtration and purification products. It is expected that the U. S. Patent will issue in due course. Kronos' Chief Technology Officer, Dr. Igor Krichtafovitch, and Product Development Leader, Dr. Vladimir Gorobets, are the inventors of this proprietary technology.

The Spark Management Method and Device patent is the sixth granted patent in a series of patent applications pending with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and various international patent offices addressing various aspects of the Kronos technology. This latest patent will provide intellectual property protection for key aspects of the Kronos' technology until late in 2021.

In addition to the Electrostatic Fluid Accelerator, Method of and Apparatus for Electrostatic Fluid Acceleration Control of a Fluid Flow, Electrostatic Fluid Accelerator for and a Method of Controlling Fluid Flow, Electrostatic Fluid Acceleration - Power Supply Management and Control, Electrostatic Fluid Acceleration - Electrode Design Geometries and Spark Management Method and Device patents, a number of additional patent applications have been filed, which control and manage multiple aspects and performance attributes of electrostatic fluid acceleration. These additional patent applications are either being examined or are awaiting examination by the Patent Office.
